Kris Pritchett honored by sorority for service and dedication

May 3, 2015

Kris Pritchett of Georgetown recently received the honor of Girl of the Year for the 2014-15 Sorority Year. This award is presented annually to the member of Xi Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi to honor the sorority sister who best exemplifies the attributes of a Beta Sigma Phi member. These attributes include service to the chapter and the community, as well as being dedicated to the goals of the sorority.

Pritchett and her husband Bill live in Georgetown and have two daughters, Wendy and Lenna. They also have four grandchildren. Pritchett served as president of Xi Sigma during the 2014-15 year and also chaired the Founder's Day Luncheon Committee.

Xi Sigma hosted the Founder's Day Celebration in the local area, including chapters from all of Sussex County and some from the neighboring Eastern Shore of Maryland. Her organizational skills and many hours of service contributed to Xi Sigma's successful year and memorable luncheon.

Pritchett was honored by her chapter at a tea at the home of member Jane McGann. She received gifts and the traditional yellow rose, the official flower of Beta Sigma Phi.
