In a battle of youth versus experience, youth came out on top as the Delmarva Rugby Club dominated the Village Lions Old Boys 43-19 May 2 at American Legion Post 20.
Delmarva tries were scored by Dean Julien (2), Deshawn Shepard (2), Isaiah Sampson, Andre Fonville, Sammy Mohr and Ryan Batdorf. Robert Wolfgang and Joe McMillan scored the conversions.
Delmarva was off May 9, but will be back in action Saturday, May 16, when they will host the 13-team Son of a Beach tournament at Rehoboth Elementary. Action begins at 10 a.m. and continues throughout the day. Spectators are welcome, and vendors will be selling sausage, hot dogs and beef barbecue. A representative from Steamroller Rugby will be selling T-shirts and apparel.
