After their recent re-opening as Paradigm, a reincarnation of Gallery Espresso, owners of the artsy bar, restaurant and cafe invited members of the business community and their loyal following to celebrate the rebranding effort and set a standard for nightlife on Lewes-Georgetown Highway.
Moving from downtown Rehoboth to the western end of Lewes on Route 9 brought a different vibe to the restaurant, owners agreed, which has evolved from a coffee shop into a New American dining room and bar with live entertainment most nights of the week, late night hours and menus.
With new subdivisions consistently pushing the boundaries of the beach region westward, the Rioux family, owners of Paradigm, said they made an early move to establish their presence as an art-inspired alternative for fine food, drink and entertainment.
Far from their downtown coffee shop, the shift in business on Route 9 meant the family-run business recently beefed up their staff, adding new management and Chef Joe Bekeshka to tailor a new menu for Paradigm, owner John Rioux said.
"This is three-times the size of what we had in town so it was a little more overwhelming with just the three of us," John said of the opening with his wife, Judy and son, Sid Rioux.
With a menu that ranges from vegan and gluten-free options to crab tabbouli and chicken bbq sliders, for the family of artists from New York, Paradigm is setting a precedent for upscale dining on the east-west roadway.
Formerly Gallery Espresso, Paradigm is located one mile west of Five Points, along Lewes-Georgetown Highway at 12001 Old Vine Blvd. For more information, call 302-231-2113 or go to thegalleryespresso.com.
