Polls open until 8 p.m. for Cape school board election

Voters in the Cape Henlopen School District can go to the polls 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today to elect two representatives for school board.

Running for election are incumbent Roni Posner and Jose Saez for the at-large seat and Jason Bradley and Gary Wray for the area B seat vacated by Sandi Minard Johnson, who is not running for re-election. This year, all candidates happened to live in Lewes; the school board seats are for five-year terms.

Candidates for the area B seat must live in the Lewes area north of Savannah Road and south of the Broadkill River, however, all Cape Henlopen residents no matter where they live in the district can vote for area B and at-large candidates.

Voters must bring identification that includes their home address.

Polls will be open at Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes; Mariner Middle School, 1639 Harbeson Road, Milton; and Rehoboth Elementary School, 500 Stockley St., ext., Rehoboth.
