Madeline P. Horner, served the Lord
Madeline Patton Horner was born in Nescopeck, Pa., May 24, 1925 and entered eternity Thursday, May 14, 2015.
An avid reader, student and learner, she graduated West Hazelton High School as the valedictorian of the class of 1942 and moved to the Washington, D.C. area. She married twice, first to Raymond Bremmerman Sr. in 1945, who died in 1990. They had four children. In 1993 Madeline married William Horner, who died in 2013.
Madeline’s professional career included several management positions at Washington Hospital Center. She spent much of her life serving her Lord in congregations in both Maryland and Delaware.
During her long and loving life, Madeline was a true example as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and in all things. Many she has touched have departed and many remain, she leaves no one behind, but continues to touch and soothe the hearts and souls of those who know her, especially her loving children, Donna Schmidt, Judy Bremmerman, Raymond Bremmerman Jr., Richard Bremmerman, their spouses; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
God continues to bless Madeline and we thank her for so much.
