Riddle appointed president of Community Bank Delaware
The Board of Directors of Community Bank Delaware has announced the appointment of William Jack Riddle as president of the bank effective May 1. In his new role he is responsible for leading the team of 30 banking professionals to deliver financial services to businesses and consumers in Sussex County.
Riddle joined the bank prior to its opening in 2006 and held the position of executive vice president and chief lending officer. He was responsible for developing the bank’s lending products and policies, as well as leading the bank’s lending teams.
“I am privileged and excited to lead a great team of bankers that deliver first-class financial services in a community we all love. We all believe that community matters,” says Riddle.
Riddle has over 30 years of banking experience specializing in retail and commercial lending, and managing banking teams. Prior to joining Community Bank Delaware, Riddle was senior vice president, business banking director with Citizens Bank.

Riddle, a native Sussex Countian, holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Salisbury University. Riddle was named the 2005 Financial Service Champion by the Delaware District Office of the Small Business Administration for his dedication to the small business sector. Riddle has been a board member of Nanticoke Health Services Inc. for over 20 years, and he is currently head of the finance committee. By appointment of the governor, he serves on the board of the Delaware Health Facilities Authority and the Delaware Economic Development Authority.
He is active in many community efforts including the Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary, serving as past president and incoming Area 41 assistant district governor. He is the current finance chairperson at Crossroad Community Church in Bridgeville. Riddle is a former Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Western Sussex County and Ronald McDonald House of Delaware Inc.
Riddle resides in Seaford, is married to Susan, his wife of 35 years, and they have two daughters, Stefanie and Laura.
