Rehoboth Beach officials will relocate the recycling containers behind the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center by Thursday, Nov. 4.
The containers will be moved to make space for temporary office trailers to be used by city administration and the Rehoboth police department during construction of the new City Hall.
City Manager Sharon Lynn said at this time, the recycling containers would not be moved to another location. Lynn said she did not know where the cans would go, but the Delaware Solid Waste Authority owns the cans and would take them back. She urged citizens to use the recycling station at 1 American Legion Road in Lewes, which is the closest to Rehoboth.
