Boy Scout Troop 1 travels to Washington, D.C.

November 25, 2015

Troop 1 Boy Scouts traveled to Washington, D.C., to tour the White House and learn about the importance of this historical building. A walk through the Visitor Center provided lessons in history and the chance to see artifacts and papers from years past. Troop 1 also toured the Washington Monument and camped at a local campground.

Last month, scouts participated in a canoe trip with camping on platforms at Janes Island in Maryland. Scouts explored the island and also went hiking. Troop 1 is planning to participate in the Lewes Christmas Parade and has several upcoming camping trips.

Troop 1 meets weekly in Lewes. For more information, call Mike Price, scoutmaster, at 302-236-6520.
