The United States Tennis Association Middle States Section recently honored Bethany Beach's Sea Colony Tennis on its list of Premier Providers for 2016.
Located at the crossroads of West Way Drive and Kent Avenue, just south of Bethany Beach, Sea Colony is among 34 facilities and organizations recognized this year for their outreach efforts and offering USTA programs for players of all ages and skill levels in the communities they serve.
“This is quite an honor, and one we share with our team here at the tennis center, our coastal Delaware and Maryland tennis playing family, and the resort homeowners who make it all possible,” said Sea Colony Tennis Director Thomas Johnston. “Growing the game and sharing the love of the game is our mission, and this recognition by the USTA shows we are headed in the right direction.”
Among the USTA programs offered or adapted for play at the Sea Colony Tennis Center are 10 & Under Tennis, Tennis on Campus, USTA League Tennis and USTA adult and junior tournaments, as well as June’s ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony $10K professional women’s tournament. The Sea Colony Tennis Team is currently working with the Boys & Girls Club of Dagsboro, introducing tennis to dozens of children each week.
Sea Colony’s tennis center features six indoor, 14 Har-Tru clay and 14 hard surface courts and a full-service pro shop, and offers exceptional facilities and top-notch instruction for all ages and skill levels - homeowners, guests and the tennis playing public on the Delaware and Maryland coast - every day of the year. The public is welcome to participate in the club’s daily adult and junior tennis clinics, weekend and midweek camps, and private lessons. Individual and family memberships are also available.
Sea Colony has recently earned local, national and global tennis honors. For more information about Sea Colony Tennis, go to SeaColonyTennis.net, call 302-539-4488 or stop by the pro shop.
