45th Annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow returns to Hudson Fields Sept. 9-10

The 45th Annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, at Hudson Fields, 30045 Eagle Crest Road, Milton.

Native American craft and food vendors will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the presentation of flags and Grand Entry set for 12 p.m. both days. Dance and flute performances will take place throughout the day along with the Street Rod Car Show.  Sunday morning, the event begins with a worship service at 8:30 a.m. 

New for 2023 will be the Celebration of Our Elders with a meet-and-greet canopied seating area for Nanticoke Elders to visit with friends and family.

Noteworthy for Saturday at about 1 p.m. will be a 9/11 Tribute beginning with a native flute performance followed by the Delaware State Police Pipes and Drums.

General entrance fees are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 11-17, and free for children 10 and under. Animals/pets are strictly prohibited and must not be left in cars (exception for credentialed service animals). Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the day.
