Brian F. Patterson, animal lover
Brian F. Patterson, 65, of Lewes, formerly of SW Philadelphia and Delaware County died at home Saturday, March 29, 2014. Mr. Patterson was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph W. and Jeanne (nee Mamee) Patterson.
He was a graduate of West Catholic High School where he was a three-year letterman on the rifle team. Brian was also a graduate of LaSalle University where he was in the ROTC and Mercer County College. Mr. Patterson served as a captain in the army during the Vietnam era. He was employed as a funeral director at M.F. Williams Funeral Home after retiring from Bell Telephone.
Mr. Patterson enjoyed music and played bass guitar in several bands. He had a great sense of humor, was very generous and loved helping people. He was an animal lover and especially loved his cats.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Donna (nee Maguire) Patterson; sister Jan (Frank) Domingos and nieces and nephews Susan, Joe, Julie Domingos; Joseph A. (Maddie) Patterson, Marybeth (Richard) Byrnes and Jeannine Patterson.
Visitation will be 9 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home, 33 W. Baltimore Ave., Clifton Heights, Pa. A Memorial Service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
