Bryan Keith Parsons, Dolphins fan
Bryan Keith Parsons, 60, of Georgetown, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at Einstein Medical Center surrounded by family members.
Bryan was born at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford to Herman B. Parsons Jr. and Greta Jean (Houck) Parsons of Fort Myers, Fla.
He was preceded in death by each of his grandparents, Herman B. Parsons Sr., Elizabeth (Torbert) Parsons, Loren William Houck and Coreine (Hart) Houck, all of Millsboro.
In addition to his parents, Bryan is survived by his sisters, Debbra K. Parsons of Salisbury, Md., and Kathy Parsons Sanchez of Georgetown; his four children, Natalie Parsons of Frankford, Katelin and Brianna Parsons of Seaford, and Bryan Parsons Jr. of Georgetown. Bryan also had five stepchildren who loved him. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Liam, Braeden, Skylar and Kinsley; along with his wife, Kimberly Powell Parsons; as well as a large extended family who will miss him tremendously.
Bryan attended Sussex Central High School. After that, he worked very hard to support his family. He was well-liked and had a way of making you feel comfortable. He always shared a kind word, a smile, or a joke just like his father, which made you feel special. When speaking to his children, they describe him as the rock of the family who was loving, loyal, honest, and willing to help anyone in need.
When he wasn’t working, he loved to go fishing and he was probably the Miami Dolphins’ No. 1 fan.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Everyone who loved Bryan is welcome to attend.
In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Gift of Life Howie’s House, 401 Callowhill St., Philadelphia PA 19123, giftoflifehowieshouse.org. Howie’s House gives room and board to transplant patient families at a nominal cost so they can stay close to their ill family members.
Our family would like to thank everyone who cared for Bryan at Georgetown EMS, Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus in Milford, and Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa., especially the ICU residents and Lili Teko, RN. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
