With a full field of more than 130 golfers, Delmarva Christian Schools held its annual golf classic June 21, at the Heritage Shores Club in Bridgeville.
“We are appreciative of the loyal following and support that Delmarva Christian and the DCS Golf Classic have garnered,” said DCS Director of Advancement Justin Savini. “The funds this tournament raises are critical to the success of our initiatives, impacting the lives of so many students. These golfers and sponsors are truly leaving a legacy on the next generation. Thank you to everyone who supported our Stronger Together Capital Campaign.”
The generous support of more than 40 corporate sponsors assisted in making this year’s tournament such a success. Funds raised through the tournament will benefit the school’s Stronger Together Capital Campaign and building project which will bring the school’s academic programs together on one campus in Georgetown in the fall of 2027.
The top teams were Matt McGinnis, Pat Moylan and Jordan Palmer (-16); Mark Perry, Matthew Perry, Joel Perry and Thomas Perry (-15); and Paul Oliva, John Oliva, Brad Shugard and Juan Johnson (-13).
Longest drive winners were Christy Sammons and Brayden Brown. Closest-to-the-pin contest winners were Terry Johnson and Matthew Perry.
