Griffin publishes debut novel
Deb Griffin, a Delaware Realtor, has published her first novel, “Love, Lewes.”
Griffin said the book is her love letter to Lewes, a place she called home for 14 years. The novel is a romantic comedy with a little bit of history and a little bit of mystery, and of course, in a town 393 years old, there’s also a ghost.
Genevieve “Vie” Stewart is on her way to becoming the next doctor in the family when tragedy strikes. Devastated, she comes home to the picturesque coastal town of Lewes.
Wondering if she’ll ever return to medicine, Vie agrees to help out a family friend who owns a local pub. Bartending leads to a hilarious friendship with the area’s most fabulous event planner and a newfound interest in all things restaurant, including a certain handsome chef.
But no surprise, in a town nearly 400 years old, with connections to shipwrecks, pirates and the War of 1812, Genevieve also meets a ghost.
“’Love, Lewes’ is about being seen for who you really are and becoming who you were meant to be,” said Griffin.
