Lewes couple to mark 65 years of marriage March 26

Charles and Barbara Schmidt of Bay Crossing in Lewes will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary Wednesday, March 26.

The couple first met when they were 8 and 9 years old, and lived two houses apart in Baltimore. They married as teenagers and built their lives around the love of family.

To this day, they enjoy traveling and family time with their four children, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
