Cassandra Spinoza prevailed in round five of the March 1 Love Creek Elementary spelling bee by spelling the word “insightful” correctly. Classmate Mateo Tupaz was crowned runner-up.
Both students will represent Love Creek Elementary at the Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals Saturday, March 16, at Sussex Academy.
