Patricia Marie Moore, had a big heart
Patricia Marie Moore, 85, born March 17, 1935, in Rising Sun, Md., was peacefully called home by the Lord at Gilchrist Center in Towson, Md., March 25, 2020. She was 85 years of age.
Pat loved her home in Rehoboth Beach where she lived with her husband Henry until his passing in 2000. Patricia entertained many friends, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family members at her beach home. Patricia attended Southern High School in Baltimore and married her beloved husband, Henry. She moved to Pasadena, Md., and raised six children. There she was an active member of St. Jane Frances Church, and worked at the DMV and the District Court in Glen Burnie, Md., before retiring and moving to Delaware.
Patricia is preceeded in death by her husband, Henry James Moore; her mother, Martha Rowe; stepfather Eugene Rowe; her father, Alan Thomas; two sons, Michael A. Moore and Thomas J. Moore; and her granddaughter, Danielle Moore. She is survived by her daughters and husbands, Colleen and Craig Young and Traci and Ben Sutley; by her sons, Barry and Curtis Moore (and his wife Sandy); her brothers, Butch and Billy Thomas; and by her beloved nieces, Annette Miller and Kerry Marini. Pat will also be missed by several nephews, nieces, in-laws and especially by her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Patricia was loved by all who knew her and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a big heart and a great sense of humor. She welcomed all and helped anyone in need without hesitation.
A memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. No wake is scheduled due to COVID restrictions (TBA).
Pat loved children, and in tribute to her, donations to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are welcomed.
