Schellville opens to rave reviews

The expanded Schellville Enchanted Winter Celebration opened Nov. 20, and it’s already a showplace of holiday delights.

Presented by Schell Brothers, and spread out over nearly 5 acres behind Tanger Outlets Seaside near Rehoboth Beach, Schellville offers a variety of holiday-themed activities, including 18 decorated miniature buildings and houses, a large Santa Claus house, a 100-by-200-foot roller rink, free entertainment, and train rides to view decorations and dozens of lighted Christmas trees.

But that’s not all. Included in Schellville is a snow zone with foam snowballs, food trucks, a La Vida Hospitality tent with food and drink, an artisans’ lane, the Magic Maze of Merriment and a Revelation Craft Brewing Co. beer garden. Ten percent of proceeds from artisans’ lane and food/drink sales will be donated to the Harry K Foundation.

Schellville will be open from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursdays-Sundays and closed Nov. 25, and Dec. 24 and 25. It will be open from 5 to 9 p.m., every day from Dec. 26 to New Year’s Day.

Admission is free, and roller skate rentals are $5. Parking is available behind the outlets and in the outlets parking lot.
