Dorothy H. Cannon, spoke her mind

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” H. Cannon, 97, of Millsboro passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at her home.

Dot was born June 25, 1923, in Millsboro to the late Levi and Sarah Cannon Harmon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband William Cannon in 1976; as well as a sister, Mabel Harmon; and a brother, Alton Harmon.

She worked at Stockley Center as a CNA for approximately 19 years. She enjoyed singing, reading, and watching TV, especially the soap operas. She had a great sense of humor and liked to speak her mind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Dot is survived by her special caretakers George W. Thompson of Millsboro and Tambara Stewart of Georgetown, as well as extended family members and friends.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 5, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. John 2nd Baptist Church Cemetery, 26602 Mt. Joy Rd, Millsboro.
