Grace H. Schnack, bridge player, nurse

December 30, 2022

Grace H. Schnack, 88, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1934, in Toms River, N.J., daughter of the late Harry and Grace Hartman.

Grace was a graduate of Methodist Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pa. She was a lifelong bridge player, a nurse at Jefferson Hospital, a retail fashion consultant at The Full Cry Shop, and a sales consultant at Anita Perlut Interiors in Oakton, Va. She retired in 2005.

Grace is survived by her children:  Wendy Oscarson and Edward Oscarson; her son-in-law, Joseph Kirchner; and four great-grandchildren.

A private service was held at her bedside.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child a garden patch or redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!” - Emerson.

At the family's request, do not send flowers.  In lieu, contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963, are appreciated.
