Rehoboth Farmers Market kicks off holiday season
Large crowd turns out to Grove Park despite cold temperatures and wind
December 6, 2024
The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market hosted its annual holiday market Nov. 30 in Grove Park. It was slow to begin, but more customers turned out as the afternoon temperatures ticked up and the wind died down. There were 40 vendors offering holiday gift items, decorations, treats and fresh produce.
Pat Coluzzi, market founder and manager, was pleased with the turnout.
“It’s always a popular event. It looks like a day in July,” said Coluzzi. “The only thing we needed was a little snow.”
The 2025 market will open Tuesday, May 6. For more information on the Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market, go to rbfarmersmarket.com.
Like a string of Christmas lights, the jams and jellies from Georgetown’s Stag Run Farm shine in the sunlight.
Among the market volunteers greeting visitors are (l-r) Richard Roash, market founder Pat Coluzzi and Stephanie Roash.
Dressed as you know who, Matt Liebel looks over the llama wool scarves and hats from Four Acres Living of Frankford.
Just a few of these large portabella mushrooms from Davidson Exotic Mushrooms in Kennett Square, Pa., take up the whole basket.
Some of the vendors had fresh produce like the purple cauliflower offered by Selbyville’s Herbs, Spice, Everything Nice.
