They were only in the Cape Region for about 60 hours, but President Joe Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden took advantage of nice summer weather in the Nation’s Summer Capital this past weekend.
On Sunday afternoon, the first couple spent about two hours on the beach near their North Shores home. They were joined by another couple for some R&R by the sea.
The president and first lady also rode their bikes on the Gordons Pond Trail in Cape Henlopen State Park and went to mass at St. Edmond Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach.
Marine One arrived at Gordons Pond about 9:30 a.m., Aug. 14, to take them back to the White House.
