Nancy M. Curley, retired psychotherapist

Nancy M. Curley died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2016.

She was born March 2, 1940, the daughter of Mildred and Peter Morgan. She was born and grew up in Rome, N.Y. She then moved to St. David’s, Pa., to study German at Eastern University. While in college she met her husband of what would be 42 years, James S. Curley. After their wedding, they moved to Marshallton, Pa., where she became the mother of Cynthia and Geoffrey.

She was a stay at home mother with part time jobs until she received her master’s in psychology and began a private practice as a psychotherapist specializing in family, couple and individual therapy. After her divorce, she fulfilled a dream and moved to Lewes, where she stayed until moving closer to her family in Chicago, Ill., and then Atlanta, Ga.

She is survived by her two children, Cynthia L. Curley Obrero and Geoffrey M. Curley; her grandson, William Kai Curley Obrero; and son-in-law, Francis G. Obrero.

A graveside service will be held at the Pilottown Cemetery, Pilottown Road in Lewes, Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. All are welcome.
